Are You Desperate for God’s Peace in Your Dating Life?

Do you worry about your relationship pretty much all the time?

Do you feel like you’re too messed up for a good relationship? That things just aren’t going to work out for you?

Does the concept of being at peace in your relationship seem foreign to you?

Here is why you can take a deep breath and relax.

The Bible says that the counsel of the Lord will prevail:

There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail. (Prov. 19:21 WEB)

What is His counsel? What does it look like? There are many ways to describe His counsel, but one of those ways is peaceful. Peace is God’s nature. It is a key beat in the rhythm of His heart:

The God of peace be with you all. (Rom. 15:33 NIV)

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. (1 Cor. 14:33 NIV)

We pray that God himself, the God of peace, will make you pure. (1 Thess. 5:23 ICB)

May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace. (Num. 6:26 NLT)

Those verses are a description of who God is for you in every aspect of your life, including your dating life. He is the God of peace, and His peace-filled counsel will stand forever. It will prevail over everything else.

Everything inside you that feels anxious is invited to come face to face with the God of peace, and He will make the trembling parts of you steady and capable.

Here are a few things you can know with certainty about your dating life, simply because God is peace and His counsel will never fall apart.

The peace of God is FOR you.
